After the scientific action blockbuster Enthiran, Once again Sun Television’s network has joined with Superstar Rajinikanth for the second time. Sun TV, owned by Kalanithi Maran has officially confirmed collaborating with Rajinikanth. On Friday, Kalanithi Maran tweeted on his page, calling this film as a ‘mammoth, colossal production’. This untitled film will be directed by director Karthik Subbaraj, also known for the director of famous movies Pizza, Jigarthanda, Iraivi.
After watching the Jigarthanda, Rajinikanth told Karthik Subbaraj that he would’ve loved to play the villain role done by Bobby Simha. He also called Bobby Simha and says “I’m very happy to watch this movie and you’ve done very well”.
Superstar decided to helm his next film with young filmmakers. Then he chose Karthik Subbaraj and told him about the movie. Karthik replied, “this is the moment I’m waiting for my entire life”. Then Karthik tweeted on his page “Really Can’t express my happiness in words… My most treasured dream come true moment… Thanks a lot, Thalaivaaaaa… @superstarrajini & @sunpictures … !! (sic)”.
Santhosh Narayanan is likely to compose music for this film. This is going to be his third consecutive movie for Superstar Rajinikanth after Kabali and Kaala.
Rajinikanth is currently working on Kaala movie directed by Pa Ranjith. This movie is in the final stage of post-production. At the same time, Rajinikanth’s Enthiran 2.0, directed by director Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions. This team is currently working on VFX portions of the film.
In the other end, Karthik Subbaraj is currently working on his silent thriller movie Mercury. In this movie Prabhu Deva working on the lead role. This film is set to release on Tamil New year weekend.
