P.M. Narendra Modi 31st ASEAN Summit in Manila: Leaders were uniformly dressed in Barong Tagalong
Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister since Indira Gandhi to visit Manila, the capital of Philippines, in 36 years. During his trip, P.M. Narendra Modi said that the relationship between the two(USA & India) nations are growing and that the two countries are working for future interests of Asia and humanity.
President Trump shook hands with PM Modi during a brief meeting on the sidelines of a dinner to mark the 50th Anniversary of Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN). PM Modi was also seen talking to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak at the reception for the leaders.
The leaders were uniformly dressed in Barong Tagalong, an embroidered shirt that is the national dress of the Philippines.
